Greetings!
BOx, although a very young organization, has already made its mark in the Ateneo throughout the years. With its various projects and activities that cater to your needs and interests as members, particularly in the promotion of biodiversity and the unity it brings to the family of Biology and Life Sciences majors, BOx has proven itself to be an organization capable of achieving its goals and worthy of acclamation. But, the presence of our organization is not only felt in our beloved university: our insatiable drive to eXplore, eXperience, and eXcel has pushed our boundaries and influence to the community outside. We remain as important players in our society, even in simple ways, with external events such as BioCamp. BioCamp is the epitome of BOx's existence: its aims to promote academic excellence in the life sciences, raise awareness about biodiversity concerns and issues, establish camaraderie among members and participating schools, and all of these in order to ignite social changes from the youth of tomorrow. Our external ties also help us further our goals and provide you, our members, more avenues to be able to live as true enthusiasts of life. Our healthy relationship with the Department of Biology is crucial to facilitate good communication between the faculty and the students and to converge our interests inside and outside the classroom. We are also one of the founding organizations of the Biology Majors Alliance of the Philippines (BMAP), founded in 2007. BMAP aims to bring together all its current member organizations and universities in order to show us what it really is to be a Biology and Life Sciences major: to study life by living it. Here in BOx, we provide you with opportunities to grow and express your passion for life through a lot of ways, not just in our organization but even outside. Make sure to grab everything that comes your way and make the most out of it. Remember, we are part of a bigger picture. Think outside the BOx! |
