The Ateneo Biological Organization – eXplore. eXperience. eXcel. (BOx) is an officially accredited organization of the Loyola Schools, Ateneo de Manila University. As the home organization of Biology and Life Sciences majors, we strongly promote excellence in the biological sciences, foster camaraderie among students, and cultivate awareness of biodiversity and social concerns of the country.
For this school year 2014-2015, BOx has around 500 members, including non-Biology/Life Sciences majors. In the school year 2011-2012, BOx was one of three finalists for Most Outstanding Student Group in the Loyola Schools Awards for Leadership and Service. It was graded A by the Office of Student Activities (OSA). BOx is also a member of the Biology Majors Alliance of the Philippines (BMAP) which has 17 member-schools from inside and outside Metro Manila and thus counts more than 2,800 as its student members.

The Ateneo Biological Organization envisions itself as the premier Ateneo organization that leads in the promotion and appreciation of the biological sciences, in both theory and application, for the development and betterment of its members, the university and the nation. |
MISSION
As the premier organization dedicated to the life sciences, BOx aims to form individuals who embody Ignatian ideals by empowering its members to eXplore the various fields of biology—that they may eXperience its relevance in both personal and societal development, and most of all to eXcel in their chosen endeavors. |
